A winning end to the season for the ladies team against Crawley Wasps.

The game started very well for the ladies with them creating a lot of chances and moving the ball around well. Having said that despite lots of efforts they could not find the back of the crawley net and began to get frustrated!

With Crawley looking good on the counter attck it was unfortunate when they went ahead after some heavy pressure.

This seemed to spur Croydon on and they kept chipping away to try and find an opening. They were eventually rewarded for their efforts on the stroke of half time when Debz Tasker found a way through the Crawley defence.

With the score 1-1 at half time the ladies knew they had to just keep doing what they were doing. The second half started where the first left off with some excellent football with the whole team enjoying the game and playing well.

Once again Crawley were equal to any Croydon pressure and again they managed to put themselves ahead.

With Croydon beginning to run out of time they stepped up a gear and began to try and put some pressure on the Crawley goalie. With the chances coming they eventually found a way through when Tiffany Pavitt scored to make the score 2-2.

With time ticking away and draw seeming likely up stepped Jeanie Keable to slot the ball home to make the score 3-2 to the ladies.

Croydon managed to hang on to all 3 points after some late pressure from Crawley and it rounded off a good game and season!

Well done ladies a great way to finish a long and hard season!
