A tough game for the ladies in the semi final of the league cup.

The game could not have started better with the ladies storming into the lead with goals from Nikki, Jeanie, Debz and Tiff.

Godalming hit back with a goal before the stroke of half time but the ladies were in the driving seat going into the second half.

At half time problems involving the ref meant that a change had to be made and the players rushed out for the second half. Add to that 2 injuries with not enough subs meant Borough had to play almost the entire 2nd half with 10 players.

This galvanised Godalming who pressed forward and exposed Croydon. Further goals from Godalming brought the score line back to 4-4 before a late goal sealed Borough-s fate.

Well done girls i know we are all disappointed with the result and how it came about but we battled hard against a tough team. Decisions went against us which changed the whole outcome of the game and on another day we would have won the game.
